DRAGNET: The Art Show
SAGE PROJECTS is putting out an All Points Bulletin “APB” for Philly’s finest (artists that is). We are on the lookout for area talent and aim to sweep up artists who fly under the radar along with the usual suspects. Artists, see the links below for participation.
As a result of the poor economy, Sage Projects was selected to fill one of the many vacant store fronts on South Street and we would like to return that generosity to the community. Our mission for Dragnet is to share the walls, floors and ceilings with as many artists as possible, creating an exciting, diverse survey. We place no limits on the type of artwork and accept work on a first come, first serve basis. No judges, no jury, and no commissions. We invite the public to make purchases to show support.
Paintings, works on paper, photography, sculpture, video and more will make up this wide ranging, inclusive exhibition by area talent.
A reception for the artists will be from 6-8pm on First Friday, August 7, 2009. Show dates Sunday, July 19 through August 30, 2009. See the sidebar for hours and parking.
Sage Projects is located at 333 South Street, Philadelphia, across from the TLA.

Fat Man little boy
Fat Man little boy rocked Sage Projects on First Friday. It was well attended but only the strong of heart and ears stood right in front of the wall of power. As you could see some even jumped in to dance. Thanks to the band and all the folks who came out to enjoy the art and music. Cellphone images by Jon Manteau.
